Looking for a better way to display and sell their Fix-A-Flat tire inflator and sealer, Shell Lubricants called upon Do-It Corporation for new ideas. Do-It responded with several display concepts and Shell settled upon Do-It’s New MEGA STRIP display strip to increase their display options and get their product noticed.

Most display strips are designed to hold lighter, more conventional packages. Do-It came up with the big idea of going big. These strips are easy to hand load and the cans stand up in a master carton even after being placed on the strip. Now, store employees simply pull the strip out of the box and hang the MEGA STRIP anywhere in the store.

This display flexibility allows the Fix-A-Flat product to hang in the automotive section, in the tire section, near the cash register — anywhere the store feels the cross-merchandising opportunities exist. And the durable strip endures any retail environment and customer handling.

This custom strip was actually an offshoot of the original hang tab display concept Do-It provided Shell. The original idea was designed to not only hang the can on a peg hook, but also to stop the can from rolling around in the customer’s vehicle after purchase.
